Android app over WiFi and Local phone number or Call back from local number
Please make an android app that lets users make and receive phone calls from any phone/internet connection permitted by the device: Wi-Fi, 3G, by calling a local phone number or being called back... nd of course if one conversation could be switched from different connections and device without interruption.
Also it would be great if this service were available not only from the US but also from Canada, México, and Europe, with the possiblity to have several phone numbers from these countries linked to one same account.

universal mobile phone app. for any WiFi-enabled device. For example, get rid of AT&T iPhone contract: use iPodTouch with MiFi personal WiFi hotspot! or any similar 3+G BB WiFi device with WiFi-enabled phone/PDA/tablet.

I'd love to be able to create different routing schedules for each phone for incoming calls. For example, I want calls to go to my home phone in the evening but not during the day when I'm at work. If that feature is already there I can't find it. All I can see is an option to make a phone ring or not, period.

Is it possible to have an option to choose your Ribbit introduction sound.
I have had some feedback now from quite a few callers saying they are suprised by the loud "dring" and then the voice saying redirecting or leave a message.
Is it possible to change the introduction sound and even have it say that the call is being handle by an automated system provided by Ribbit?
Would really help the caller understand what is happening instead of panicing and hanging up!

I listen to my emails and get transcriptions when online, but the voicemails cannot be deleted unless I login to ribbit.com. Can we get fuctionality that allows me to listen to an email and then delete from my ribbit mailbox without logging in?

Ribbit is awesome but the voice quality when calling is sub par. It would be awesome if Ribbit were to enable it's users to use the G.722 codec. It sounds so beautiful!

The idea is that you can replace your regular phone application with a Ribbit application, letting you actively manage the call, routing, and features, all from your phone screen. All dialing will go out through Ribbit, all calls will come in through Ribbit, letting you pick your outgoing line and transfer calls dynamically from phone to phone based on things like reception and bandwidth availability (for those in congested cell-usage areas).

What keeps me from buying iPhone, iPad, etc is that I REFUSE to get stuck in another quagmire contract with one of the vulture phone companies.
Please open it up to the independents. I use Consumer Cellular and have been very happy with them for three years.
Ditto all the comments for VoIP, Skype, etc.

The blackberry puts incoming SMS in the list of emails, however it can get lost in the Inbox if you get lots of mails. It would be great if Ribbit could convert SMS to an email so it also sits in your Outlook and Blackberry inbox and doesn't get missed.

I think in your next version, the "speaker" button needs to be moved away from the top of the window. I find myself always activating with my ear when I listen to my messages.

I believe personalized greetings makes voice mail so much better. it allows the correct greetings for friends vs. work people, knowing I use my cell phone for everyone now. This was a feature on you-mail that I thought was very cool and got lots of comments.

For using with Evernote, an alert can be set up where the voice mail is emailed to Evernote, and it appears in the notes. Posting examples where people use Ribbit with popular apps would be helpful

It would be real nice if you could some how also be able to forward text messages that are being sent to the mobile phone that is forwarded to the Ribbit system, As of now all this info is being lost as it does not go anywhere and the sending party has no way of knowing weather or not the sms went through. This of course only applies when you are out of the area or haveturned your phone off. Some carriers hold the sms until it can be sent but this is only for a short time frame and then the message is lost unless the sender calls you which defeats the purpose of forwarding your calls in the first place.
all in all the system works great but it would be nice to also get a forward on sms text messages if it can be done.
