hi where i can get an overview of the roadmap of ribbit and planned apps?

from 1999 we had started to formulate two project goals (1) University level eLearning and (2) Pain Research. Today I signed up as a Ribbit developer. In next months, we hope to build some working applications to these ends, today I was searching the web for JavaMail APIs, and then I came across Ribbit Flex/Flash APIs, downloadd them and got the samples and demos working. (basically I am a Java/Oracle developer and worked 3 years with Flash/Flex, recently passed Adobe Certified Instructor/Creative Suite Master)

This would be a mash up, and would produce an online/real life live action role-play game platform. What you do with it from there is up to you - it could also be used as a platform for, a local business directory, geo-directory enquiries, tour-guide service, etc. This idea was inspired by the BBC series 'Spooks', which shows a 'Controller' online, directing people in an actual city. The Controller sees dots on a wireframe model of a city, and talks through their mobile phones. This would require a VRML model of the Central Business District of a City or wherever else you wanted to play. Activate the players 3G phones to become 'transponders'. Overlay the GPRS-determines location of phone in the real world, onto the model world. The Controller could fly up to the avatar/ dot/ representation of a person in the real world. Rather than dialing their number, click on them to place a mobile phone call. The game would comprise coordinated action between real world players and online players. Use your imagination. Example 1: Team A (10 people) have to covertly follow Team B (3 people) who are trying to lose them. Example 2: Treasure Hunt. Example 3: Play Monopoly with the real City. Example 4: A more intricately and creatively directed flashmob - go for something more akin to a Mexican Wave than mugging a merchant. Once this platform was set up with, for instance, a Virtual "London", you could enrich it with tagging the GPS location of local merchants (monetised), and use it to provide Tourist Information, Geo-Directory Enquiries, etc. This creates a whole business model. Is that creative enough? I have other ideas, but lets see how this one flies first, shall we?

'Dr.Ribbit' for mobile healthcare communications- voice to text, text to voice and voice-as-voice- to handle the entire transaction of patient/doctor/professional consultations, reporting, notes making, operation records, follow-ups, health promotion, peer-to-peer support (e.g.: smoking cessation, diabetes control, medication reminder)...all via mobile phone like medEfone...

I would like 24/7 voice recording (of my own voice plus all conversations I have) via a small low-power wifi mic that backs up online. I'd then like a secure website where I can search past conversations by text or time of day.

While the idea of voice-activated search or dialling is nothing new, there are always a few steps involved to get the device into the appropriate state to receive the voice command. I propose a small-footprint 'listener' which responds to a unique phrase or sound effect so that the user would not have use their mouse or keyboard, or keypad. Rather like Star Trek, when they merely said 'Computer?' in an attentive tone.

I don't like the idea of having a read-only NetStream sending out my audio. I would like the ability to modify that audio. Such a feature would allow me to do several things: - Adjust outgoing pan/volume, if desired - Alter voice to provide anonymity - Playback hold music instead of having silent mute feature - Share audio recordings/files

As an avid user of ACT! I would like to see the same kind of integration that has been developed with Salesforce built to work with ACT!. I would think it would have to be able to connect through Blackberry to integrate with ACT!

For small companies and individuals who need support (i.e., servers, network, apps, etc.), an online platform allow them to log in and ask for support in their own language 24x7 will be great. There are many engineers in this world are willing and able to stay online and make money this way and equal amount of people want their support. Front end website for engineers (certified, so quality can be assured) to pay a membership fee ($30/month) and SME or individuals pay for their service by the hour ($65/hour). Customers will have the right to rate each engineer while engineers can offer language skills and available hours (in different time zone). Customer can click member's button to voice chat with the engineer or allow engineer to remote into their server/pc to provide remote support while on the voice chat. VoIP will be the back end platform together with paypal, and worldwide termination (VoIP to landline or cell) in case customer is completely off the internet grid. Both customer and member use a IM client with voice call capability.

My idea is to create an online database of Blood bank.

A specific API for handing the user's location could open to a big set of possible geo-aware applications. The mobile client should be able to interact with an eventual GPS antenna and return the GPS position. The framework should provide a bridge with mobile phone operators to access Assisted-GPS data. Every non-mobile device should rely on a geo-IP service. The Ribbit platform can became a repository of user's instant positions, providing geo alert services for advertising, or personal profile matching based on user's proximity.

It would be great to be able to include Microsoft developers in this.

Integration of service into a blackberry application

An application which can act as a Communication medium between a Doctor and Poor Patients those who are not having enough money to reach City - Multi Speciality Hospitals for Doctor Appointments and Health Solutions and Drug Usage prescribed by Doctor.I am Still Planning it in a Big Way.I need Expert Thoughts on that. I respect Ribbit because Using Ribbit I hope i can serve Humanity and Mankind :)

i think it would be good if the camera was able to be used. How this would work is that it would connect with any usb, firewire or installed camera connected with the computer. And perhaps an app like msn or skype so that the camera could be used for webcam calls
